Round 2 iterates the two winners (swiss studio, three systems) with the salmon logo system woven in: the integral glyph from the "of", the heritage wordmark as provenance, methods in the prose instead of lists. Round 1 kept below for reference.

matrices.earth interior pages

the four pages behind the landing dots, rebuilt as swiss-studio siblings.

Existing copy ported faithfully (15 years kept, em dashes removed), shared css/swiss.css, filenames preserved so the landing page's dot links keep working. Nav echoes the landing mechanism: four dots, current page filled in accent blue. No JavaScript.

swiss studio, salmon edition

matrices ∫ systems that decide, adapt, and improve themselves.

Option 2's grid with the blue swapped entirely for logo salmon. The integral monogram works at four scales: a full-height glyph closing the hero wordmark, a nav ligature, a marker beside each numbered section, and a caption mark on a Stan model fragment set like a pull quote ("beliefs, written down before the data arrives"). Heritage wordmark small in the footer as provenance.

swiss studio, marginalia edition

systems that decide, adapt, and improve themselves.

The textbook take: black and white with salmon reserved for the integral glyphs. Nine margin notes annotate the prose like a well-thumbed statistics text ("posterior proportional to prior times likelihood", "the DAG is the contract"), each tied to its paragraph with a salmon tick. The integral does its literal day job inside a labeled Bayes identity. Notes fold inline on mobile.

three systems, field notes edition

matrices builds systems that decide. these are the field notes.

Option 5's warm-paper narrative recast as a field notebook. Each chapter opens with the rotated circular stamp monogram in uneven ink; diagrams keep their hand-drawn strokes with the key node turned salmon; captions carry the methods ("the DAG, specified before the data"; "posterior over dose response, drawn from NumPyro"). Integral ornaments divide the chapters.

three systems, one thread edition

three systems, one thread.

The whole page is a single integral sign: a 3px salmon thread opens as the glyph's tail beside the hero, descends a left rail through a roman-numeral station at each chapter, branches into each diagram, and closes its bottom hook beside the heritage wordmark in the footer. A large Bayes formula gets its three terms underlined and labeled posterior, likelihood, prior. Below 700px the thread degrades to per-chapter segments.

the console (terminal)

systems that decide, adapt, and improve themselves.

A dark phosphor-green terminal where the hero is a framed shell session and every section renders as command output: a pillar grid, project cards with box-drawing stat lines, key-value whoami, and CTA buttons. Fixed nav is a row of fake flags with scroll-aware highlighting; subtle scanline and vignette overlays sit over an AA-contrast palette, and reduced-motion users get a fully static page.

swiss studioround-1 pick

matrices. / systems that decide, adapt, and improve themselves.

White ground, near-black ink, one accent blue, a huge lowercase serif wordmark with a blue period, and a strict 12-column grid with thin rules and numbered pillars. Selected work renders as three editorial grid rows with mono metadata and real fact-sheet numbers, closing with credentials, an arrow-hover contact list, and the "matrices . earth" footer.

the demo is the pitch (live)

systems that decide, adapt, and improve themselves.

Warm white, ink, and deep teal, centered on three interactive proof-of-skill widgets: a Bayesian coin-flip posterior with a live credible-interval readout, a momentum optimizer descending a teal contour valley, and an SVG pipeline that diverts uncertain cases to human review. Full copy ships for all four pillars, three work items, credentials, and contact, with no-JS fallbacks and reduced-motion handling.

confusion energy (brutalist)

matrices / systems that decide.

Oversized black display type on a faint grid, hard 2px borders with offset black shadows, and a single red accent used only where it stays WCAG AA. A four-pillar marquee strip, rotated work cards that straighten on hover, key-style buttons that depress on press, and an inverted black footer, all readable with JS disabled and responsive to 360px.

three systems (narrative)round-1 pick

matrices builds systems that decide.

An essay-style scroll on warm paper with a serif stack: three chapters (serif, prism, markets), each written as problem, approach, result, with sticky roman-numeral chapter labels and a hand-drawn inline SVG figure per chapter. Closes with the four pillars as a compact index, credentials, a contact block with a calendly button, and the "matrices . earth" footer.
